Parcel Search

Find land parcels using specialized filters for acreage, zoning codes, ownership, and property values.

Parcel Search Panel

The parcel search panel provides filters specifically designed for finding land parcels. Access it through the Parcels tab in the sidebar or through the filter dropdown.

Parcel Filters

Acreage

Filter parcels by lot size:

  • Minimum Acreage - Only show parcels larger than this size
  • Maximum Acreage - Only show parcels smaller than this size

Example: To find parcels between 1 and 5 acres, set minimum to 1 and maximum to 5.

Zoning Codes

Filter by zoning classification:

  • Enter one or more zoning codes separated by commas
  • Partial matches are supported (e.g., "R-" matches R-1, R-2, R-3)
  • Common codes include R (residential), C (commercial), I (industrial)

Check the Filter Reference for common zoning code formats.

Owner Name

Search for parcels by owner name:

  • Enter a full or partial name
  • Search is case-insensitive
  • Useful for finding all parcels owned by a specific entity

Assessed Value

Filter by the tax-assessed value of parcels:

  • Minimum Value - Only show parcels valued above this amount
  • Maximum Value - Only show parcels valued below this amount

Appraised Value

Filter by the appraised/market value of parcels:

  • Minimum Value - Only show parcels appraised above this amount
  • Maximum Value - Only show parcels appraised below this amount

Demographics Filters

Filter parcels based on the demographics of their surrounding area:

  • Median Income Range - Filter by the median household income of the census block group
  • Owner-Occupied % - Filter by the percentage of owner-occupied housing units
  • Renter-Occupied % - Filter by the percentage of renter-occupied housing units

Using Parcel Search

  1. Enable the Parcel Boundaries layer to see parcels on the map
  2. Open the parcel search panel or filter dropdown
  3. Enter your filter criteria
  4. Click Search to apply filters
  5. Matching parcels will be highlighted on the map

Search Results

After searching, you'll see:

  • Total Matched - The number of parcels matching your criteria
  • Limit Indicator- If results exceed the display limit, you'll be notified
  • Search Time - How long the search took

Clicking on Parcels

Click on any parcel on the map to view its details:

  • The parcel tab opens in the sidebar
  • You'll see APN, address, zoning, and acreage
  • Click "View Details" for the full parcel detail page
  • Click "Analyze" to run Data Viz analysis on the parcel

Multiple Parcels at One Location

Sometimes multiple parcels overlap at the same map location. When this happens:

  • Navigation arrows appear in the parcel tab
  • A counter shows "1 of X" parcels
  • Use the arrows to cycle through all parcels at that location

Tips for Parcel Search

  • Start broad - Begin with fewer filters and narrow down
  • Combine filters - Use multiple criteria to find specific opportunities
  • Check zoning codes - Zoning codes vary by jurisdiction, so check local codes
  • Use Data Viz- For complex queries, describe what you're looking for in natural language
